St Louis Zoo Post #2

I love my new camera and it's zoom.

Here are some more pics of our zoo trip.

The sea lion show, the sea lions names were Elaine and Rosie

Jack was so excited to see the penguins, he couldn't stop talking about them the whole way to the zoo and the whole way back.

Jack posing with Neal (my friend Angela's boyfriend)

Jack showing off his new penguin

and his St. Louis train that has a really loud ( extremely anoying) whistle when you squeeze it.

The day after we came back from our trip we went to Melissa's so Jack and Gracie could play, and Jack tried marshmallows for the first time and he looooved them.  They played hungry hungry hippo and Jack kept taking Gracie's trains.  That boy is obsessed with trains.

Angie's Craft Blog Sketch #1

This is the card that I whipped up for Angie's Craft Blog sketch #1.  I was rak'ed this image, I can't remember from who, maybe Norma.  The paper is DCWV, and I finally used the SU stamp set that I bought off of Diane.  I love these colors together, brown, green and pink.  The green is very subtle, it is on her ribbon on her top, her head band, inked edges of the image and the ribbon.

St Louis trip #1

Here are the first group of photos from St Louis.

Jack got along well with Angie's nephew Bobby.

Here is a picture of the 3 boys before we headed into the zoo.  The one in the middle is Owen (Angela's cousins son).  This picture is funny cause the other 2 boys are 8 months to a year older than Jack and they all look to be the same size.

kids discovery center, it's a boat.

What's in that log, it's a snake.

Angela will make a fabulous MOM, she is due in December.

THE ANIMAL SHOW, Bobby and Jack stands up to get a better view.

Angela's baby bump

Petting Zoo!  Jack brushing a goat.

Crazy huge beetle statue that the boys wanted to climb on.

This is a picture of grumpy Jack before he took a nap.

I love Doodle Street

So, for Doodlie Street's blog challenge this week, I had to make a get well or thinking of you card.  This is the card I came up with, using a doodle street image of course.  I am also submitting this card for the CCC, this week you have to make a fall card.  I am also submitting this card to the Stampers Anonymous recipe challenge, the recipe for the card is to use only one kind of patterned paper, double mat your image, don't use ant ribbon, use 4 brads and one flower.  I don't remember who make this paper but I got it from Joann's, the paper is shiny too.  I know it doesn't really look double matted, but I turned the yellow square to look like a curvy diamond, kind of.

Doodle Street Blog Challenge

Yay, I finally had a chance to make this card.  I love this image, it was just a little too tall for the sketch.  Oh well here it is.  I love these papers, I think they are DCWV recycled paper stack.

This is my second post of the day, so scroll down to see the first one.

Baby Girl Scrapbook

I will post the pictures from St. Louis later, but here are pictures of the scrapbook I made for Angela she is due in December.  This is not my best work, but not my worst either, just kind of a rushed effort to get the book finished on time.

Here is an up-close picture of the mouse That I stamped and then I used white fun flock on the hat, so it looks fuzzy.

Felling Fallish

I made a quick fall card a while ago and am just getting around to posting it.

I am going to see one of my best friends (who is pregnant with a girl) in St. Louis this weekend with Jack.  I told him all about the St. Louis Zoo and he is sooooo excited to see the penguins.  I made her a very simple 6x6 scrapbook and finally got it finished around midnight last night.  Now if only I could finish baby Lucy's scrapbook, she will be 2 months old soon.  I'll be back on sometime this week to post pics of the scrapbook.

Grandma and Grandpa got Jack his very first bike and these are his first pictures on it.  He needed a little push to get going, but then he was off and chasing the cats and going around in circles.

5th Anniversary

It is our 5th wedding anniversary today.  Jason and I are going to Nashville overnight to celebrate.  Woo Hoo so excited, gonna stay up late, eat good food, drink and dance.  Yay!  My sweet husband had these beautiful roses delivered to work yesterday, he totally surprised me .  I can't believe it has been 5 years, it has gone by so fast.  I still remember every detail of the night that I met him at his cousins Halloween Party.  I feel so lucky to have found him.  Happy Anniversay!

Labor day Weekend Post #3

Cass came up to spend the day carding with me on Sunday.  We both had babysitters for our sons, so it was a fun filled day of carding without the kids.  I do say it was so much easier to make cards without the kids.

Here is a pic of the happy cardmakers.

These are the great cards that Cass made.

Here is a pic of the set of cards I made for my Mom, they were supposed to color coordinate, but I only had enought of the pretty maroon and gray paper for 2.

This is my least favorite card, but my Mom liked it and it was for her .  I got the felt flowers from Cass's stash and I used her gold stickles too.

This is my favorite card that I made for my Mom.  I embossed the burgandy white core paper with the cb and then sanded it , so you can see the birds better.  I got the sentiment from Lisa and the skittles from Cass's stash.  It's fun to card with a friend cause you get inspiration from their stash.

This next card, I got to try out Cass's cricket and I put the sentiment on the inside, I used her gold stickles again, which is funny cause if I had gold stickles I would probably never use them.

the inside of the card.

This is one of my favorite cards, cause I loove owls.  This image is by doodle street, the felt corner and heart embellies came from Cass's stash

This is another image by doodle street and I love the image but I shouldn't have used the mushroom paper behind the image.

I didn't like it so I decided to color the top of the mushroom differently.  I think it looks better now.
