Labor Day Weekend Post #2

After we left the Opry Mills Mall, we headed to go see Thomas the Train.

Jack is waiting patiently for the story telling to start.

I can't believe he actually stayed in his seat, while the story was being read, I was shocked.

Time to play with some train sets, he had so much fun with the trains.  He cried when we left.

Jack was so excited to have a picture taken with Thomas and Dad.

Here they are on the train (which went really slow by the way, not actual train speed).  Jack looks so tired in this picture.

Here I am after a long hot day.

He was so excited just to see the trees outside.

Then after we saw Thomas the Train, we took Jack to spend the night at my Mom's, here is a picture with Jack and his Grandad, trying to read a Thomas book.

and while Jack was at Nana's house, I got the chance to card with Cass all day Sunday.  Cass's Mom watched Noah and my Mom watched Jack, so we had a whole day to craft and make cards without our kiddos.  More to come on that in another post.

Labor Day Weekend post #1

Here is a pic of Jack trying on his raincoat, getting prepared to go see Thomas the Train, just in case it rains.

We stopped off at the Aquarium Resturant first.  Jack loved the Aquarium, but he was concerned with where Sharkey the Shark was.

Then after many pictures with Sharkey, we went to the sting ray reef next door to watch other people (NOT ME, YUCK) feed the sting rays and we road the carosel 3 times.  Then Jason wanted ice cream.  Finally we were on the road again headed to go see Thomas the Train.  More about that in another post.

Cutey Patootey and a couple of cards

This first card is for a sketch in the Stampers Anonymous Group on cafemom.  I was rak'd these papers and I looove them. This image I think is called Eloise Greengrass by Stamping Bella.

This card I made for Jack's newest cousin Lucy who is getting baptised on Sunday, he calls her Lucy Bug, so I went with a lady bug theme.  I got her a little stroller toy to go with it.

My nephew had another street hockey game last night , we took Jack this time.  Jack liked peering through the fence and watching Alek play.  There were these little boys playing next to Jack and he kept saying hi guys and they just kept playing and completely ignored him, it broke my heart.  He got his feelings hurt and was kind of grumpy last night.  Tonight he got to eat dinner with his cousins who love him and  play with him, so I think all was forgotten.  He was definately in a better mood tonight.  Tomorrow we are taking him to see Thomas the Train.

Our Super Long Porch

Our porch was poured on Monday, here are a few pics.  Our house is coming along very nicely.  Paul, Doug and Harry are doing an amazing job and Jason's uncle Ken has been here helping too.  Here are some pics.

above they are looking out at out back patio and below Jack is playing around on the new carpet.

This last pic is of my nephews playing Hockey,  Alek is on the far right standing up and Nathaniel is over by the ref.  They played so well and were so cute playing too.  I can totally see Jack wanting to do this when he gets older, and the games start at 6:00, so I would actually be able to come to his games, not like baseball those games start at like 4:30 or 5:00.

Cupcake Craft Challenge

The Cupcake Craft Challenge Blog is celebrating their first birthday and giving away lots of blog candy too.  You have to make a card with something sweet on it and it is a bonus if it is a cupcake.  I used the sketch this week in  the card makin mamas group on cafemom.  It is kind of simple but I didn't have a lot of time this weekend to make it.  I'm lucky if I make one card a week.  This sketch will also work for the Inspirational Card Sketch challenge blog.

I colored the inkadinkado image with my copics and used yellow stickles for the cupcake sprinkles.

PWC 100th Challenge

In the Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog.  It is their 100th challenge, and it is take your pick so we get to pick whichever of the past 99 challenges we want to do.  I picked the spots and stripes challenge and I used this weeks sketch in the Cute Critters Club over on cafemom.  I received these papers from my friend Christa.  It is kind of hard to tell so I took an up close pick so you could see all the spots, ther are spots or circles on all the papers ( even the red) I used except the background paper which is the stripes part of the spots and stripes card.  I don't remember who gave me this image, but it sure is a cute one.  I just love changito monkey's.  I didn't have a sentiment stamp for this image so I created my own rub-on with the printer and a transparency.

This is the sketch:

I got the chance to visit with my hubby's cousin Melissa today.  She just had a baby girl named Lucy, my Mom made her a quilt and here is Jack's 3rd cousin(is that right, cause Melissa and Jack would be 2nd cousins, and Lucy and Jack would be 3rd, I think, anywho we are all so close in this family, we just say cousin) Lucy modeling the quilt.  Isn't she adorable!

Case It!

So I found this pretty card here at Lisa's blog.  I decided to case her card, which she cased from someone she found on split coast stampers, so here is the original (I think) that Lisa cased and then I cased Lisa's card.

I made this first one for my best friend Jennifer who lost her Uncle to lung cancer last week.  The blue and brown flowers were a rub-on. I stamped the sentiment in brown ink.   I also decided to use this card for the color challenge over on the Stamper's Anonymous group, you have to make a card using the colors blue, green and brown.

The second card I made is all rub-ons.  The sentiment and the image are rub-ons.  Can you tell that I just love my new rub-ons set I got from Hobby Lobby on sale.

This last card, well lets just say I LOVE RUB-ONS.  The whole card is rub-ons, with 2 butterfly stickers.  I think it is cute, but that brown rectangle is a little crooked and it bugs me.
