Scrapping in TN

Jack and I visited with Cass, Noah and Bobby on Friday and the boys play together pretty well. Jack actually took a nap at someone elses house, I couldn't believe it. I love their new home, I can tell that Jack loved Noah's room (and his toys) and the big back yard (especially the sand box). I love scrapping with Cass cause she inspires me, her scrapbook pages are so beautiful. I am finally getting back in the swing of things with the scrapbooking.
This first 2 page layout is Jack's first Thanksgiving, we had 2 dinners in 1 day and he did great all day. The papers are from the Target dollar bin. Normally I don't like using just 1 picture on a 12x12 page, but I didn't want to cover up the pretty trees on the paper. The chipboard is from the Target dollar bin too.

These pictures are at the park near Nana's house in October, but I thought the pictures went perfectly with the fall leaves stickers that I had.

This next 2 page layout is just cute pics of Jack swimming, Cass suggested that I stickle the fish so that's what I did when I went home (cause I didn't want to wait for the stickles to dry there).

All of these papers and paper embellishments are a combination of 2 different paper packs from Walmart. I thought this page looked to bare, so I added a clip, 2 eyelits and a flower brad on the left. On the bottom right I added magic mesh and a sun rub on.

Just an upclose of the stickled fish, I stickled some little fish too.

Blue stickled fish.

This next 2 page layout was when Jack and I went to Monkey Joe's with Cass and Noah. I've had these monkey stickers forever. I cut out the Monkey Joes from the brochure. The paper I ordered through Oriental Trading Company.

The monkey paper and bouncey house sticker and chipboard all came from Hobby Lobby. The "monkey fur" was left over material from Cass's new couch, LOL, but it totally worked.

water fun at birthday parties

Jack swimming in the pool at Ethan's birthday party, I did not bring him a swim diaper so it was very funny, it absorbed so much water that Jack looked like a sumo wrestler.

Out of focus, but mid-air jump shots are so cute, this is Jack at his 2nd birthday party last weekend at his cousin Hannah's 4th birthday party.

Gracie and Jack, water vest buddies, LOL

His first time ever jumoing off the diving board.

Quick and simple gift card holder for my in-laws Anniversary

The front of the card

a simple 2 page layout for a friend's baby's book I am working on

Jack has a friend that is having an Alvin and the Chipmunks birthday party, so I found this clipart online and made a simple card.

Freshly Brewed Blog Challenge

I flipped the sketch for the challenge over at the Fresh Brewed Blog so I could use this super cute image from meljen's designs.  The pink and gray paper I got from the mighty dollar (it was a package of different papers, same color scheme, 30 papers in all 8x8, for only a dollar).  I used my cb to cut out the nesties scalloped oval, the letters for hi and I embossed the gray (white core) paper then sanded it, so you can see the white core.  I used my copics to color the image.  At the end on the gray paper I have 2 yellow flowers and 3 pink gems.

made a card set

I wanted to make a card set for a co-worker and I made this set last weekend. Here is the tutorial on making the box.

All of these cards were made for the boxed set to match except for the baby bear card, I made that for a TGF challenge a while ago.

I made this patterned paper with a flower stamped in green ink and then I chalked blue chalk ink. I got this image in a rak and used stickles and copics.

This pretty floral paper was in a DCWV set, the image is from Paper Makeup Stamps. Green flower ribbon from Hobby Lobby.

I've been scrapbooking, among other things

Friday was the spring fling at Jack's school, here is the one picture I have of him sliding down.

my sweet card that Jason and Jack made me for Mother's Day, Jason said that Jack picked out everything and he put it together. Notice the use of the yellow stickles as adhesive. LOL so creative. He couldn't find my regular adhesive.

I have been trying to get caught up with scrapbooking, I have a long way to go, but I finished 2 more pages. Yay
For Halloween 2009 Jack was Thomas the Train, the first page is him being goofy in the car eating his popcorn and sucker. Everybody tells me that my handwriting is terrible and to never handwrite anything, but you know what, my son is gonna look at this book after I'm dead and gone (hopefully of old age) and I think he will get sentimental over the handwritten page. So that scribble on the right of the page in orange is my chicken scratch. Enjoy it!

2nd page, Nana came up and went to the trunk or treat at the church with us and the church even took a free professional pic of us. We bumped into 2 kitty cat cousins as well. All the papers were from the dollar bin at Target, except the spider web paper that was from HL. The embellishments for both pages are a mixture of rub-ons, stickers, Thomas stickers and chipboard. The cute orange border strip was a rak from my sweet friend Cass.

simple cards

This card is what I made today, my inspiration was to look outside and see the huge puddles in the yard and the leaky roof. I sure hope the flooding stops soon.

I used stickles and a glitter pen. The cute chipboard corner was from a rak, the gingham bow is from Martha Stewart. The green glitter ribbon is from a swap, the paper I got at Joann's and the image is a Unity stamp.

In the Stampers Anonymous group over on cafemom, the challenge this week is to make a one layer card. This is just plain white card stock, I embossed the edge, then stamped the images, the tree stamp I colored with markers then huffed on it before I stamped it. The bird and the hello are from dollar stamps from Joann's the tree is from a set I got at Hobby Lobby, it also comes with a deer and owls. Then I sprayed heavily with pink glimmer mist, unfortunately, I didn't lay anything heavy on it while it was drying and it bubbled up.

This card is owed to the weather too. I had this image from a rak colored for a while. I bought a jar of large flowers, this was the first time I ever used a big flower like this.

Someone rak'd me a long time ago with sheets of cardstock and matching envelopes, they are not cards, they don't open up, so I didn't know what to do with them. I got this dollar stamp at one of my shopping trips with Cass to Joann's and just loved it. So I decided to just make a little note card set. I used copics and glaze pens.

I had some blank cards that I got in the dollar bin at Target and stuck this cute image on the front, used my nesties to add some shape to the card.

No, I did not tie this bow, I suck at bows, this was the bow tied artound the blank cards. I recycled it

This another image that I was rak'd and had colored for a while, and another Target bin find.

yet another image from a rak that I have had colored for a while.

I have had these black blank 3x3 notecards with envelopes for a while and haven't done anything with them. I stamped them in white ink with a Stampin Up set, inside there are matching (to the image) sentiments in black ink on white paper. While the ink was still wet I sprinkled some glitter. The one with the flower pot has glimmer mist sprayed on it.

I have done some scrapbooking today too, will probably post those sometime this week.
