Cupcake Craft Challenge

The Cupcake Craft Challenge Blog is celebrating their first birthday and giving away lots of blog candy too.  You have to make a card with something sweet on it and it is a bonus if it is a cupcake.  I used the sketch this week in  the card makin mamas group on cafemom.  It is kind of simple but I didn't have a lot of time this weekend to make it.  I'm lucky if I make one card a week.  This sketch will also work for the Inspirational Card Sketch challenge blog.

I colored the inkadinkado image with my copics and used yellow stickles for the cupcake sprinkles.

PWC 100th Challenge

In the Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog.  It is their 100th challenge, and it is take your pick so we get to pick whichever of the past 99 challenges we want to do.  I picked the spots and stripes challenge and I used this weeks sketch in the Cute Critters Club over on cafemom.  I received these papers from my friend Christa.  It is kind of hard to tell so I took an up close pick so you could see all the spots, ther are spots or circles on all the papers ( even the red) I used except the background paper which is the stripes part of the spots and stripes card.  I don't remember who gave me this image, but it sure is a cute one.  I just love changito monkey's.  I didn't have a sentiment stamp for this image so I created my own rub-on with the printer and a transparency.

This is the sketch:

I got the chance to visit with my hubby's cousin Melissa today.  She just had a baby girl named Lucy, my Mom made her a quilt and here is Jack's 3rd cousin(is that right, cause Melissa and Jack would be 2nd cousins, and Lucy and Jack would be 3rd, I think, anywho we are all so close in this family, we just say cousin) Lucy modeling the quilt.  Isn't she adorable!

Case It!

So I found this pretty card here at Lisa's blog.  I decided to case her card, which she cased from someone she found on split coast stampers, so here is the original (I think) that Lisa cased and then I cased Lisa's card.

I made this first one for my best friend Jennifer who lost her Uncle to lung cancer last week.  The blue and brown flowers were a rub-on. I stamped the sentiment in brown ink.   I also decided to use this card for the color challenge over on the Stamper's Anonymous group, you have to make a card using the colors blue, green and brown.

The second card I made is all rub-ons.  The sentiment and the image are rub-ons.  Can you tell that I just love my new rub-ons set I got from Hobby Lobby on sale.

This last card, well lets just say I LOVE RUB-ONS.  The whole card is rub-ons, with 2 butterfly stickers.  I think it is cute, but that brown rectangle is a little crooked and it bugs me.

Busy as a Bee, er a butterfly. haha

This is a pretty simple card.  I was rak'd this paper a while ago, the sentiment is from a stamp set I got for my birthday, thanks Cass.  The image is from Cass.  I cut out the butterfky, popped it up and stickled it.

The next card is for a challenge in the CCC.  It was too make a funky card, using wild colors and patterns together and no stamping.  I used this rub-on sentiment, the black white and pink papers are from the all dressed up set by DCWV, the skull paper and pink and red paper was from a rak.  I thought using black, white, pink, redm turquoise and green together was a pretty wild color combination.

This next card was for a scrub top inspiration challenge in the Stamper's Anonymous club.  I chose this scrub top for the challenge, cause I own it and have driven to work sometimes thinking huh this would make an interesting card.

Here is the card I came up with, this was a left over image in a card kit swap I was in, the papers are the all dressed up stack again.  I outlined the image with my cool grey 30% prisma color marker, chalked the background with pink chalk and added some maroon accents to the flowers with a copic marker.

Friday night we took Jack to the last concert in the park, with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Cathy.  The band was good, but the base was turned up too high and the microphone was turned down too low.  We were not there too long, our ears couldn't take it.

This is Elaine's I'm gonna get you Jack you stinker, face

Then on Saturday we went over to Jim and Elaine's (my in-laws) house to celebrate Anna's birthday.  Jack just loves his cousins.  He doesn't even bother to learn their names, he just yells boys at them really loudly and the wrestling begins.

Then it is time for cake, I snapped a cute picture of Alek and Nathaniel., and the pretty cake.  No, Anna did not turn 40 something, I am behind it, she turned 24. haha

Jack didn't want share a piece of cake with me, he wanted his own.

Jack and his aunt Cathy

Doug and Anna got goofy with Jack, I swear that child would love to just dangle upside down all the time.

I thought this was a good picture of Doug, Anna, and Nathaniel (Alek is taking the picture with Grandma's camera, while I take one with mine).  Jack got mad cause I wouldn't let him take a picture with my camera, like Alek got to do with Grandma's camera.

Then after, barbecue chicken, cake, ice cream, wrestling, and presents, it's time to swim.

Well, it was a great weekend.  Jack allready misses his cousins, he has been saying "go see boys".

Card Kit Swaps

I am in 2 card kit swaps.  For those of you who don't know what a card kit swap is: you and someone else are assigned as partners and you send each other a card kit, which is every thing it takes to make a card, which includes: blank card. envelope, patterned paper, solid paper, image, sentiment, ribbon and embellishments.  I was in 2 card kit swaps this week, one in the stampers anonymous group and one in the cute critters club group.  Here is my card for the Stamper's Anonymous group, my partner was NataliesMommy13:

Here is what I made with the card kit from Callie, for the cute critter club:  I love that fiber cord, I am going to have to get some of that.  I looove this image she sent me too.

Here is a cute pic of Jack playing with his hat and car he got at Steak and Shake after we left the hospital.  We were visiting new baby Lucy.

Blue Bird Special

This first card I made for my brother's birthday.  I tried to make it masculine yet funny.  This image was a Dustin Pike freebie.  The inside says Happy Birthday, You Old Bird.  I don't have that stamp so I made my own rub-on with my printer and a transparency sheet.

The second card

I wanted to try out my new stamp.  I chose the colors from this rak'd paper that I had.  The corner sticker is from a sticker pack I got from Cass.  I did not have a sentiment stamp that would work with this Happy Hopper stamp, so I printed off a rub-on again.  I don't know where I found the directions for this but you have to print on the shiny side of the transparency, print at best quality and as a mirror image, then after you print it, let it dry, then place it down on the paper and rub with a popsicle stick.  I just loved this image cause of my job.

Cards for my ss

Now that my secret sister (Carol) knows who I am, I can post the 3 cards I made her.  It was a Christmas secret sister swap.  I made 3 simple cards.
