Great Weekend!

Had a great weekend, went to Nashville and ate Mexican for dinner (can't remember the name of the place), then Jason and I went to a Rock concert, the next day we ate breakfast at Loveless Cafe (Jason was watching the travel channel and it was voted one of the top ten places to eat breakfast in the country, the food was awesome).  We drove home, met my Mom to pick Jack up and Jack gave me some presents he made for me at Nana's house.  He picked out all the buttons and made 2 button bracelets.  I actually had time to make a card, then we cuddled up on the couch and watched some movie with talking dogs in it from the library.  Then Sunday we had a birthday party to go to at the local roller skating rink.  Jack has only been on roller skates once and he cried, so I didn't know exactly how this was gonna go, but he did great and went around the rink 3 time.  Now we are playing around with Jack's football watching the Superbowl.  Here are pictures of the bracelets and the card that I made.
A picture of Jack at the birthday party after he stuffed his face with cake and ice cream.

Sticking to my resolution

My New Year's resolution (since I already lost 55 pounds) is to make at least one card per month and I am sticking to it, so far, hee hee.
Had to make a card for my father in laws birthday and needed to make some baby shower cards too.

Can You Believe It!

I have been feeling crafty lately, so I made a card for The Card Makin Mamas Blog Challenge.  The challenge theme is Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.  I made this card for my sister in law who is starting college again on Monday, she has been out for a while.  I used this some odd girl stamp, because they are also the sponsor for this challenge.  I already took and uploaded the picture and I just looked at the picture, woops totally forgot to color her eyes, so just imagine that her eyes are colored cause it is due tomorrow and I don't have time to fix it. LOL

Being off of work = crafty time

I am off of work for 2 weeks, so I should be able to work out every day and have some craft time.  I made a quick card for my nephews birthday, we got him a monkey pillow pet so I made this cute monkey card.  I finally got to use this Dustin Pike image.

This is why I've been MIA

Sorry I haven't belonged to the paper crafting community for a while, but I have been super busy, this is what I have been up to.

 1. Working out on the elliptical and with Jillian Michaels and The Biggest Loser DVDs

2.Eating according to the food guide pyramid and doing portion control

3. Spending a ton of time with my hubby and son doing fun fall stuff

4. Baking (a little).  I made ghost cookies for Jack and my nephews

5. Reading a lot:
6. Working full time:
7. and volunteering in Jack's school when I get the chance

I do miss crafting, hopefully I will find time soon.  I reached my first goal weight (in losing weight), so I made a second goal weight.  I tried on my wedding dress and it is loose.  I have lost over 30 pounds.  So although I miss all of my crafting friends and I miss making cards and scrapbooking, I just haven't had time, but now you all know what I have been up to.  Miss you all.

A challenge, I did a challenge, can you believe it

The challenge for the Card Makin Mamas Blog is anything goes and I had to make a wedding card for a wedding I am going to today.  It is a simple card, but so much prettier in person, I used glimmer mist on all the white cardstock.
