OK, so I had about an hour to craft today, and these are the 2 cards I made. I was feeling like using glitter today. Now that I have my new scrapbook shelf hung up and can see all my glitter on the shelf, I felt like using it.
You can't really tell in this picture but this first card is super glittery, I used snowflake stickers and the snowman and tree is chipboard.
At least you can tell this next card is glittery. I got the image in a swap and all the snowy parts of the image have a ton of glitter on them.
Here is one of the few pictures of all of the kids together and facing forward.
Here is Jack and Christian, after Alek and Nathaniel left Jack followed Christian around everywhere. Poor Christian, but he was sooooo good with Jack, he didn't get mad once that he kept following him.
Onto the cards:
The first card I made is just really simple, I embossed 2 lines on both sides, put gold shimmer ink on them and added a pretty sticker to the card and then a sentiment.
This next card is for the cute critters club challenge to make a Christmas card using pink and red. The paper looks light pink and dark pink but I swear it is red and pink.
Jack posing with his kitty cat cousins, Cassie and Hannah.
So, I got kind of carried away with the stickles and made the black ink bleed, that is why the snow falling has a black tint to it.
Here are the Thanksgiving cards that I made at Cass's house, the first one is for the CCC sketch challenge.
Well, I have to get back to work on the house, maybe I will get another chance to card this week.
With this first card, I wanted to challenge myself by picking a color you don't see too often on Christmas cards, so I picked yellow, not gold, but yellow. I was going through my papers that people have rak'd me and I found this perfect paper. I don't think it turned out too bad.
This next card is for a sketch challenge over on Card Makin Mamas. I got this image in a Christmas swap last year.
I took an up-close pic of the snowflake so you could see how sparkly it is.
Then we went to Elaine's to celebrate Alek's birthday. Jack wanted to open the presents and blow out the candles, so bad, but I kept telling him that he will get to on his birthday in less than 2 months, but of course that is an eternity to a child.
Superman cake
Then I wanted to try this recipe from the Taste of Home magazine, I went to the Taste of Home cooking school and wanted to try these. They are s'mores muffins, I think it looks like a marshmallow creme volcano, but they were delicious.
